Banora Point upgrade

Banora Point upgrade

Welcome to the Banora Point upgrade website. This project is jointly funded by the NSW and Australian governments.

The NSW Minister for Planning approved the Pacific Highway Banora Point upgrade on the 26 February 2009.

The RTA is forming an alliance with Abigroup Contractors, Seymour Whyte Constructions and Snowy Mountain Engineering Corporation (SMEC) to design and build the Banora Point upgrade.

The RTA has commenced preconstruction activities including further field investigations and property acquisitions.

Latest News

The alliance project team for the Banora Point upgrade will hold a series of community open days and workshops which will provide updates on the design and construction activities for the project.

At the first workshops the alliance will provide an update on investigations into refining the design and the construction environmental management plan, including key issues on noise and traffic management.  The community will be invited to provide feedback and input.

The workshops will be held on Saturday 14 November 2009 at Club Banora, Leisure Drive, Banora Point, between 10 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm.
