The Roads and Traffic Authority is investigating an upgrade of the Princes Highway between Narooma Road (the Old Princes Highway) and the start of the Tilba Tilba deviation south of Narooma.
The planning for this project is fully funded by the NSW Government.
The RTA has investigated two potential options to improve the alignment of the Princes Highway between Narooma Road and the Tilba Tilba deviation.
Both options would eliminate a number of tight curves by providing 3.2 kilometres of modern standard highway and include a new bridge over Victoria Creek.
One option follows an existing reserved road corridor shown on the Eurobodalla Shire Council Local Environmental Plan.
A second option uses a new alignment which closely follows the reserved road corridor but would improve the road geometry, provide greater road safety improvements and cause less disruption to traffic during construction.
This is the RTA’s preferred option for future development.
